Arguably the most famous of the Balearic Islands, Mallorca is a bright and colourful island with a cool capital, lush landscapes and attractive beaches. From Pollenca in the north to Portixol in the south, the island is replete with traditional villages that have stood the test of time. Ramble along the cobbled lanes and seek shade inside tapas bars shielded by enormous umbrellas. The interior of the island is home to the serrated peaks of the Sierra Tramuntana, a dramatic mountain range that staggers across the land and drops into the sea, created stunning coastal cliffs. All around the island there are beautiful sandy beaches, so you’re never far from a refreshing dip.
