Bangkok, the ‘city of angels’, moves at a pace a thousand times faster than other cities, with tuk tuks, bicycles and honking taxis streaming through the streets like an army of ants. Explore the network of canals, known as klongs, or take a tour of the glittering temples and hawker markets. Bangkok is one of the best places to sample street food in Asia and you’ll find everything from the weird to the wonderful. Despite the city’s ramshackle charms, Bangkok’s accommodation is modern and luxurious, and many have rooftop bars from which you can look over the city skyline.

When to travel
Bangkok’s tropical climate is divided into three seasons: hot from March to June, wet from July to October and cool from November to February, but temperatures are around 26-31 degrees all year round, so it’s always warm. High humidity comes from the South Asian monsoon system and brings heavy rains.
WEATHER: Bangkok is almost always warm and humid, with temperatures reaching their peak between March and August.
