ROSEWOOD BAHA MAR
OVERVIEW
Substance and style meet with glorious results at the Rosewood Baha Mar resort, Nassau. This five-star family-friendly Bahamas hotel has it all: abundant facilities, plenty of activities either onsite or nearby, incredible suites and a signature spa all wrapped up into one luxurious, elegantly adorned complex. If visiting the Rosewood Baha Mar with children, there’s a fantastic kids’ club, babysitting and outdoor activities as well as tennis courts and of course, the nearby beach. Elsewhere, this is every bit the grown-up five-star resort, which in many ways is down to the Rosewood’s sophisticated interior design of nautical-themed touches, a beach-chic colour palette and impressive artworks throughout.
You also have cultural day trips, traditional markets and culinary tours to enjoy here, a gorgeous 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course nearby and signature spa back onsite. This indulgent hideaway is itself a haven of holistic wellness therapies, yoga, beauty salon services and a modern gym too, plus the resort’s lagoon-style pools that weave their way through sun patios and lush gardens, dotted with loungers, sofas and daybeds. You are in fact surrounded by over 40 bars and restaurants while staying at the Rosewood Baha Mar, though their own offerings are a tempting assortment of South America-inspired or fine dining options, poolside cocktails and afternoon high teas of caviar and champagne, so a little bit of everything for everyone.
Finally, the guestrooms, suites and villas deserve a special mention as some of the most luxurious hotel rooms on Nassau. All come with a generous private balcony or huge outdoor living space, walk-in rain shower and a deep-soaking tub, lounge rooms, endless mod-cons and personalised bars, butler service and a classy décor scheme to seal the deal.

Where to stay
Beach-chic interior design finds itself well and truly at home in the Rosewood Baha Mar guestrooms, suites and villas, as ocean blue curtains frame French windows, there’s a furnished balcony for every room, floors are all teak and even the armchairs are made using sailors’ rope. It works wonderfully well and creates a notable sense of place as a result, and although there’s a dizzying array of accommodation categories to choose from here at Rosewood Baha Mar, there is no short-changing on the standard of design. All feature separate tubs and rain showers in their marble bathrooms; king-size beds; plush robes and designer toiletries; espresso machines and a long list of mod-cons, with the larger options, suites and villas also boasting lounge and dining areas, butler service, outdoor space and even a fully-equipped kitchen in some, thanks to their extended floorplans.

What and Where to Eat
There is a distinctly upmarket feel to the gastronomic offerings at Rosewood Baha Mar, from high tea of caviar and champagne in The Library to fine dining taster menus served under the glow of chandeliers, surrounded by artworks. That said, between the four eating and drinking haunts here you also have the full spectrum of cuisine styles and settings too. From cocktails and South American bites at the bright and breezy overwater Costa, to fresh breakfast buffets or all things rum and quality wines served in Manor Bar, the standards are high and ambience of each fits a certain time of day.
