One&Only Palmilla
Los Cabos
OVERVIEW
One of Mexico’s most stylish hotels, One&Only Palmilla manages to perfectly blend traditional and contemporary Mexican design, creating a beautiful resort that’s good looking from every angle. Whitewashed walls provide the perfect backdrop to the colourful artworks, patterned tiles and tactile fabrics which each room and open space is decorated with – the perfect study in Spanish colonial style.
Rooms and suites (plus the two stunning villas) are designed with beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez, the endless horizon stretching into the distance and sometimes dotted with the shapes of breaching humpback whales, which come to the region to mate. Even the lower category rooms are spacious by any hotel standard, however for the ultimate in luxury living we’d recommend upgrading to the Pool Casita Suites, which have expansive terraces and infinity-edge pools stretching away to the horizon.
Facilities are plentiful, including six restaurants ranging from chic sushi bars to traditional Mexican cuisine. There are also a number of bars, tennis courts, stand up paddle boarding and a fantastic surf school that makes the most of the hotel’s fantastic location on the Pacific coast. As with all One&Only hotels, the spa is a self-contained paradise of wellness, with a cluster of secluded treatment cabanas set around private courtyards and a salon dedicated to the beautifying of feet and hands.
