Le Dune – Forte Village Resort
Sardinia
OVERVIEW
The 116-acre plot that makes up the famous Forte Village Resort in Sardinia is famous for its incredible array of activities, and if you want to make the most of these whilst also getting the chance to relax and recharge frazzled batteries then Le Dune might just be the choice for you. Set towards the rear of the resort away from prying eyes and noisy families, with an infinity pool, Le Dune (which is family friendly) is a haven of tranquillity amid the mock-Sardinian village.
Set within lush tropical foliage to screen it from the rest of the resort, Le Dune has one of the best spots on the coast with the beach and the facilities just a short stroll away. Submerged in the verdant gardens, Le Dune blends in with the rest of the resort and looks like a small, traditional (albeit well cared-for) Sardinian village, with walkways lined in Mediterranean plants and parrots living in the trees. Buildings are low-slung and inconspicuous, hiding just 43 smart, elegant bungalows and suites.
If you can drag yourself away from your whirlpool bath, expansive terrace and sumptuous bed there are plenty of things to keep you occupied. The resort is home to 21 different restaurants during high season serving everything from Sardinian classics to Asian dim sum, 11 bars and a plethora of activities to get your heart rate going. Don’t miss the spa whether you’re there to unwind or get fit – it’s sensational.
