Ikos Aria
Kos Island
OVERVIEW
Private beach access, indoor and outdoor adults-only and child-friendly swimming pools plus a signature Anne Semonin, Paris Spa; this is just a flavour of the many reasons to make Ikos Aria your five-star resort of choice, on the ancient Greek island of Kos. Everything flows seamlessly here, whether wandering from your serene cream and white-hued guestroom to each of those curved seafront pools, taking a moment in one of the Michelin-starred restaurants onsite for a long gourmet lunch or sunset cocktails on the beach, ensuring that this all-inclusive southern Kos resort feels as polished and self-assured as it gets. And that’s for good reason, as the wider Ikos Hotel Group are well-known for their high service standards, boundless facilities and top locations, something that’s blissfully on display here.
It’s not all about taking it easy in the Jacuzzi or treatments in the spa, as Ikos Aria also offers an astonishing program of activities too, including tennis, basketball and badminton courts; beach volleyball and football; mountain biking; yoga and Pilates classes; sea kayaking, water polo and windsurfing; catamaran and yacht charters; sailing, surfing and scuba diving; Greek mythology and language classes; the list really does go on. All this, before even coming to the kids’ activities as, although there are adults-only areas at Ikos Aria, this is a family-friendly all-inclusive Greek resort, so giant board games and dance lessons, table tennis and kids karaoke are also part of the fun. At night, choose between either a romantic fine dining meal or live music at the bar, before retiring to what are extremely enticing guestrooms and suites, where private sea-facing verandas, gardens or pools all come as standard – arguably where decadent Ikos Aria really comes into its own.

Where to stay
One of the best things about Ikos Aria has to be the guestrooms and suites. Firstly, the all-white and cream colour-coding works wonderfully well to create a super cool, soothing place to be during hot afternoons, particularly as many of the rooms are framed by foliage and sea views outside, which offsets their interior décor perfectly. The beds are thick and comfy, private terraces nicely furnished – and easily accessed thanks to a wall-sized French window for every guestroom –and bathrooms both modern and spacious; this is contemporary beachside living alright. Complimentary top-end minibars will be renewed daily and the list of amenities is also conclusive here at Ikos Aria. Then, as you move through the luxury categories, the floorplans do gradually increase, though more notable extras come in the form of private swimming pools, gardens and extended outdoor areas; a delight during those warm summer evenings.
