Hotel Hacienda Na Xamena

Ibiza

OVERVIEW

Located in a beautiful clifftop setting, built into the surrounding limestone hills, this stunning hotel opened over 40 years ago and was built by visionary Belgian architect Daniel Lipszyc. The hotel is now run by his son, Alvar, who is meticulously updating the hotel, one section at a time. The hotel feels intensely private, surrounded by pine forests with beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. Nearby you’ll find the small port village of Sant Miquel, which has a lovely beach and several restaurants.

Onsite you’ll find plenty of amenities, including a spa, three pools (one indoor) and a selection of cascading seawater thalassotherapy pools which will rejuvenate you after a night out, Ibiza-style. There are several sun terraces to relax on, plus a laid-back lounge where you can chill out on giant lizard-shaped cushions and order up cocktails as you watch the sunset. There’s just the one restaurant – Eden, which serves local produce – and a great breakfast terrace. The hotel utilises as many local ingredients as possible, and even has its own organic garden.

Rooms are calm and whitewashed, with pops of colour and interest from the furnishings. Balconies offer beautiful views and every room has a Jacuzzi bathtub in the bedroom, so you can enjoy a soak and watch the sunset (before heading out on the town, perhaps).
