Hotel Arts Barcelona

Barcelona

OVERVIEW

Barcelona is a great mix of city sights and beachside delights and staying in Barceloneta means you’re ideally placed for enjoying as much of the sandy beaches as possible at the Hotel Arts Barcelona. Set between the city and the Mediterranean Sea, the seafront hotel soars 44 storeys above the seafront with the famous Frank Gehry fish sculpture, Peix, anchoring its entrance. An icon in the skyline, the Hotel Arts is where culture, architecture and Catalan cuisine meet in perfect harmony in a stylish setting of blue glass and exposed steel.

While Barcelona’s idiosyncratic streets are replete with historic masterpieces by the hand of Gaudi, the Hotel Arts is a thoroughly modern affair and one of the city’s original luxury hotels. It’s also arty in name and in nature, with its public areas accented by original artworks and extravagant floral displays. If you’re looking to dip in and out of the city then this location may well be for you; set on the Port Olimpic it’s got stunning sea views and a leisurely stroll will bring you to the city centre – or you can catch a cab.

Despite its modern exterior the Hotel Arts is blessed with a garden, raised above ground level with verdant fronds to shade you from the bright Spanish sun. Swim in the pool next to the fish sculpture or pick from one of the delightful beaches – with this location the whole city is your oyster.

Our Highlight

If you mistake the staff for models or fashion designers, no worries – you’re not the first. Not only are they gorgeous, their uniforms are designed by local fashion house Cortana. So many people asked for their own versions of the dresses that they have partnered up with the design house to offer guests the chance to get their own piece of er, ‘hotel-inspired’ luxury.
