What to do

Take your taste buds on culinary journey with cookery classes in the Rim Tai Kitchen where you can learn how to infuse your food with the local herbs and spices. Work off the calories on a mini boot camp with a difference which includes cycling through the paddy fields and strengthening your back muscles by helping the local farmers plant their rice crops. The Gecko Club will keep the younger members of the family busy with lessons in the Thai culture or the whole family can have a challenging boxercise class.

When to travel

Chiang Mai’s tropical climate is warm year round with seasonal rainfall that doesn’t vary much around the rest of the country, however the temperature variation is slightly wider due to the hilly terrain and northerly location.

WEATHER: Chiang Mai has three seasons: rainy (May to October), cool (November to February) and hot (March to May).
