The hotel’s location means its easy to get around and explore. Located just 40 minutes from Cancun’s airport, transfer times are easy and you’ll find access to the other resorts on the Yucatan Peninsula a breeze – there’s even complimentary transfers to the other three hotels on the Mayakoba estate. There are also several Maya ruins in the area which are well worth a visit, including Tulum, which overlooks the ocean. Be adventurous and hire a car, or book an excursion with the help of the hotel.

What and Where to Eat
Fairmont Mayakoba restaurants include Mexican classics and international flavours, conceived in partnership with one of the world’s top chefs, Richard Sandoval. The four main restaurants have been recently redesigned and new menus developed to showcase the finest local cuisine. The hotel makes a concerted effort to design sustainable menus sourcing organic produces from the nearby area. The hotel also offers traditional cooking lessons and Mexican craft beer tasting.

When to travel
Riviera Maya’s Caribbean climate means the region can be visited year round, however the summer months of June to early November can be very humid and wet. Visit from December to May for the clearest skies.
