Curtain Bluff Resort

OVERVIEW

Being active is not something you would necessarily associate with the Caribbean, given its plethora of beaches to relax on, but Curtain Bluff Resort offers plenty of options for the active among you. The all-inclusive resort is renowned for its excellent tennis centre and fitness activities such as squash courts, a well-equipped gym, basketball and the obligatory watersports options.

The setting is, by Caribbean standards, quite dramatic: set on a rocky promontory jutting between two beautiful beaches. Pick one to suit your mood that day, from the calm and softly curving crescent of Bay Beach, ideal for sheltered snorkelling and swimming or the golden, shady sands of Surf Beach, strung with hammocks and lapped by foamy waves.

The resort also offers some of the best dining in the Caribbean. You’ll find menus fusing French and Caribbean flavours and ingredients in a five-course menu that offers freshly caught fish such as Antiguan lobster. Curtain Bluff Resort is a fantastic choice for families, with a Cee Bee Kids Camp, plus a playground in a shaded pavilion out of the sun, mocktail making classes, crab racing and arts and crafts classes. Hungry tummies will appreciate early suppers and special children’s buffets.

What to do

Curtain Bluff is very special with its two beaches, dependent on whether you want to be active or relax. Surf Beach is where you will find all of the watersports, many of which are included. Bay Beach is where you can absorb the rays of the sun in a peaceful setting before relaxing with a treatment in the spa as you are massaged into a state of oblivion gazing over the islands of Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis.

What and Where to Eat

Unlike many other Caribbean resorts, Curtain Bluff is fully inclusive which means that all meals, drinks (except connoisseur cellar wines) and even the mini bar are included in your nightly rate so you really can indulge. With temptations such as the ceviche of conch infused with ginger and jalapeno and lobster ravioli on the menu, you will soon realise, all-inclusive does not mean a compromise on flavours.
