Burj Al Arab
OVERVIEW
One of the most iconic and instantly recognisable hotels in the world, the shimmering sail of the Burj Al Arab, the world’s ‘only seven-star hotel’ soars to a height of 321 metres, dominating the Dubai coastline from its private island just off Jumeirah Beach. The visually spectacular hotel unfurls like a billowing sail across the skyline, giving all who stay within its 24-karat gold walls the chance to feel like a sheikh in their own palace.
Make the short journey across the private, curving bridge and enter into the impressive atrium lobby, which towers some 600 feet above you. This is a most extraordinary hotel and where better to experience excess and lavish luxury on such a grand scale than in the adult’s playground of Dubai? Your room isn’t just a room, it’s a duplex suite, with floor to ceiling windows to allow perfect vistas of those Arabian Gulf views. Mosaic bathrooms, 14-option pillow menus, Hermes toiletries and impeccable service come as standard.
The restaurants too are typically top notch, from contemporary European cuisine served at Al Muntaha to the 12 live cooking stations at Japanese restaurant, Junsui. If you feel like arriving in style, the hotel has its own fleet of chauffeur driven BMWs and Rolls-Royces, with one of the most incredible helipads if you’d really like to make an entrance.
