Bouganville – Forte Village Resort
Sardinia
OVERVIEW
Bouganville was named after the bougainvillea plant that grows abundantly across the island of Sardinia – visit throughout the summer months and you’ll see great tumbling plants covered with flowers in all shades of pink, fluttering in the sea breezes. Bouganville’s beautifully manicured gardens are full of the flowers, plus a host of glorious greenery that makes for stunning views from the low-rise bungalows.
Forte Village is set on a 116-acre plot and is designed to look like a traditional village, made up of several hotels of which Bouganville is the newest. Staying in the resort affords access to the wide range of facilities and activities on offer, including watersports, children’s play areas and the extremely luxurious spa.
Bouganville is especially suited to families, with a top-notch location in the heart of the resort that’s close to both the swimming pools and the spa. Accommodation is set in family-friend bungalows, with the option of extra beds and separate living and sleeping spaces, so every family member gets their own space and privacy. All the comforts have been thought of, with luxurious touches and outside space in the form of elegant furnished patio areas – some with kids’ play kit. Larger families can opt for adjacent bungalows with the ability to interconnect for a seamless experience.

What and Where to Eat
Guests at Bouganville have access to Forte Village’s 21 varied restaurants and 11 bars – some may require a supplement, but for the chance to dine on chef Gordon Ramsay’s delectable cuisine, it’s well worth it. The full complement of restaurants includes Italian classics, pool bars, luxurious fine dining venues and plentiful buffers – our favourite is Pineta, set beneath the ancient pine trees that surround the resort. Take your pick of family friendly restaurants – including one where grownups are strictly forbidden. All kinds of diets and fussy eaters can be catered for.
