Borgo Egnazia Puglia
Puglia
OVERVIEW
Borgo Egnazia Puglia was designed in the style of a traditional village and is located deep in the south of Puglia. The colonnaded walls, rustic-luxe interior and spa treatments inspired by ancient Puglian rituals all add to the ambience but the hotel still offers all the modern features you’d expect from a luxury resort. There is a championship golf course, two glamorous beach clubs, a stunning spa and four swimming pools including a heated indoor pool, two at the main building – La Corte – plus a family-friendly pool. A sandy beach is just a short ride away via the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service, or if you prefer, there is also a rocky beach nearby to enjoy.
The crèche has proven to be very popular with guests and is run by Italian and English staff. Equally as popular are the gourmet restaurants, the fantastic facilities and the perfectly manicured golf course. The aforementioned spa has an enormous menu and the friendly Patrizia, who designed the treatments, can help you find the best one to suit your needs. The location is ideal for exploring the traditional trulli houses of Puglia and once you have finished there you can relax back at the hotel by one of the amazing pools.

When to travel
During the summer thousands of Italian holidaymakers descend on Puglia’s unspoilt beaches. The ‘heel’ of Italy stays warm long into autumn, when the crowds thin and the heat becomes more bearable. For sightseeing you can visit its ancient towns for much of the year; for beaches you’ll want to time your trip for May-September.
WEATHER: Puglia is blessed with some of Italy’s best weather, with very hot summers and mild winters; the shoulder season is best for sightseeing.
